City Centre Canada Day Celebrations

Celebrate Canada Day at the newly-renovated Mississauga Celebration Square. Ring in Canada’s 144th birthday with rockers These Kids Wear Crowns, pop artist Fefe Dobson and the chart-topping Shawn Desman. Be awed and captivated by a daring aerial cirque show, unique art and music performances in the amphitheatre. Finish the night with a spectacular fireworks display.

This event promises a whole lot of family fun at participating locations throughout the Village. “Proud to be Canadian” is this year’s parade theme starting at 11am on Friday, July 1st! Come out and enjoy a piece of giant birthday cake, live entertainment, trivia and fireworks at Port Credit Memorial Park.

Great fun for the whole family starting with the traditional parade down Main Street. Enjoy live music, travelling clowns for some great laughs and kid’s activities that’ll keep them entertained. It all ends with a glorious fireworks display!

The Art of Bollywood Exhibit

Come out and see the Art of Bollywood, curated by Ali Adi Khan and Asma Arshad Mahmood. This exhibition underlines the profound influence of Bollywood art on India’s visual culture and its people. Artistic depiction of Bollywood actors as “larger than life” on posters and billboards has also resulted in unconsciously giving actors a super-human or godly status.
